We Take Our Jobs Seriously
Service dogs are task-trained canines with jobs that benefit Canadians of all ages with visible and invisible disabilities and other daily living challenges. No matter how big or little we are, where we come from, or what breed we are, we are carefully selected, well socialized, sound, focused, working dogs. The bond between us and our handlers is as important as the work we do so please help us to ensure a barrier-free Canada.

The purpose of Phase 1 is to conduct an industry and marketplace analysis to provide a holistic overview of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats within the emerging service dog industry such as the recognized need for consensus-based Canadian 'Service Dog Industry' Quality Assurance Standards.
To be inclusive and out of respect for guide dog handlers and guide dog organizations we sincerely hope you will contribute to the study by way of sharing your insights and lived experiences in support of service dog teams across Canada as well as to preserve the guide dog legacy.
