The Canadian Foundation for Animal-Assisted Support Services (CFAS) attracts life-long learners from a wide range of academic backgrounds to foster One Health for People, Pets, and Partners across Canada.
The length and terms of placements are as diverse as the interests and goals given students field of studies. Student Interns are passionate individuals seeking opportunities to apply their learning's to promote service excellence within the promising Animal-Assisted Services Sector. Roles, responsibilities, relevance, and reporting requirements are discussed in advance to manage expectations and set realistic goals.
CFAS is an impartial interconnected nationally registered non-profit and registered charity that connects people, dots, and fills gaps within the burgeoning Animal-Assisted Services (AAS) Sector in order to inspire and sustain the innovation, coordination, and integration of exceptional services, clinical programs and non-clinical activities within Canada's healthcare, social services, justice, corrections, and voluntary to foster One Health for People, Pets (pets in service), and Partners (animals in service).

One Health for People, Pets, and Partners is a Canadian Foundation for Animal-Assisted Support Services (CFAS) initiative that unites and engages individuals, communities, organizations, disciplines and sectors in order to co-create our collective desired future for Animal-Assisted Services (AAS) across Canada.
Health in this context was inspired by The World Health Organization's (WHO) definition of health which is "a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.
